The step-by-step instructions below will show you how to create a Security Notification that will display each time the case for a participant is accessed. This feature is useful as a tool to alert anyone accessing the case of any special conditions that would warrant their attention. This can also be used as a reminder to follow up on a task the next time you open the case.
Objective 1: Select a Participant Case

1.01 Display Case Search Page
|
- From the Aware main screen, select the Participant module.

- The Case Search page will display, change the layout to Caseload – Open if needed.

1.02 Select Participant to Display Case Management Page
|
- Click on a Participant in the Participant Name column to display the Case Management page.

1.03 Change Selected Layout to Case Summary
|
- In Section 1: Case Management, use the drop-down box for Selected Layout to choose the Case Summary layout if necessary.

Objective 2: Display Personal Information Page and Enter Security Notification

2.01 Select Personal Information Link
|
- At the bottom of the Case Management page, select the link for Personal Information in the Activity column.

2.02 Enter Security Notification Text
|
- In Section 5: Security Notification on the Personal Information page, enter text into the narrative box.

2.03 Finish to Save Message
|
- From the Main Menu select Finish to save your changes and close the page. You will be returned to the Case Management page.

2.04 Finish to Close Case and Return to Case Search Page
|
- From the Main Menu select Finish again to close your case and return to the Case Search page.

2.05 Verify Your Notification Displays
|
- From the Case Search page, again select your Participant in the Participant Name column to display the Case Management page. You should now see the text you entered in the Security Notification narrative box appear as an alert at the top of your screen.

- Once you click OK to dismiss the notification, your case will open.
